Our high today was a glorious, sunny 62 degrees. There will be a chance of showers for the next few days and maybe even a rumble of thunder, but nothing severe expected.
Anytime we have a warm snap near the middle of March it brings back memories of the day in 2000 when I piloted my brand new cruiser home from Jeffersonville to it's new dock on the Kentucky side of the river. Since we sold it, I miss the fun of boating, but I don't miss the maintenance and expense. The memories are enough for me now. To those of you still boating I hope you have a wonderful and safe time on the water this year.

At the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show last week, design plans were unveiled for a so-called "moving island" yacht called the WHY 58x38. Price tag: $160 million.
The boat's specifications are impressive - at 190 feet long, guest areas reach 36,000 square feet. The three floors have space for 12 guests and 20 crew members, and the boat features a 426-feet long promenade, a spa, a library, a 'beach,' an 82-meter swimming pool, and a helipad. |
